99 contour headlight housing "clouded"?

Does anyone know of a fix ( other than the 145.00 for new ones) for the hazed or clouded headlight housings?
I tried to use a buffer on the outside of them which helped a little bit but was really tryin to get away without spendin a heap on new buckets??
It feels like there is overspray or something on the outsides of them if that makes sense?

hey i actually searched and found a kick azz step by step thread for this problem :nonono:
