Somehow I don't think that is the response he is looking for.
What type of lip spoiler are you looking for?
The most common is the Pre-98 (95-97) SE spoiler. That is my personal favorite and what I have on mine. To do that spoiler you will need the whole trunk lid from a Pre-98, not just the spoiler.
There is also other members running the stock trunk lid with a BMW M3/M5 replica lip spoiler. Nice, small, elegant and sporty.
You decide.

If you meant front lip spoiler, you want a Mirko.

uh, not sure about the front lip spoiler. But yes the m3 lip spoiler is what im talking about. the one that looks like the audi s4 lip spoiler is what i'm trying to go for.
So whole new trunk lid? Or jus a aftermarket lip spoiler that i can paint and attatch? The bmw lip spoiler replica sounds like what i want.
I dont' really like the factory spoilers on contours,no offence to any that do i jus dont think they flow right or as good as they could.

No you don't need a whole trunk lid, that is only if you buy a pre-98 Contour lip spoiler.
If you want the M3/M5 replica lip spoiler it is basically a long strip of urethane with 3M adhesive on the back. With that all you do is stick it to your trunk lid a wal-la.

Yuck!! I hate how the CF trunk looks, i dont like that at all. I love the red mystique tho, that looks so awsome. Jus like the m3 or the s4, not too much but jus enuff:)
Thanx for all your help eventually when i feel like i have enuff money i'll order one off ebay and then paint it. Hopefully this wont come out to be costing too much money.
THe red mercury, is that a m3 lip spoiler? What exact spoiler is the one on the red mercury?

I don't have a pic to back it up, but I remember about a year ago someone with a T-red CSVT and a Zx2 Escort spoiler that sturred up some hype.

huh, that would be interesting to see. Do you know what year escort? A picture would be cool to see.
Also does anybody know the exact name of the spoiler on the red mercury in the above pics?

So mystiquevltwin, did that spoiler jus fit perfectly with trunk of the car or did you have to do some bending to fit right? That and how did you mount it?

i kinda like the pre-98 trunks with the spoiler, but at the same time i truely believe you gotta keep the post-98 trunk for the SVT...heres a good comparo pic between mine and Tony's pre-98

it was pretty damn close...not perfect, but i didnt need to bend it a lot for it it fit. its been on there for about a year now and so far, it hasnt moved.

what did you use to mount it? Screws, adhesive, jb weld, double sided tape, duct tape, super glue, hot glue????
mystiquevltwin

i'm going rumaging for a spoiler to try to fit on my post98 lid. im thinking a late SHO spoiler, some BMW spoiler, a pre98 lid, or something of the sort. i'll see if i come up with anything that may fit. i'm basically looking for a lip style spoiler though. wish me luck!

yea tricker good luck, some things are jus super hard to find at junk yards or they want to rip you off for it. Ex: i called a place near my house and they have a sunroof motor that i want b/c mine doesnt work but hey wont sell it to me unless i pay $130 for the whole sunroof assembly! Glass, tracks, motor, wireing, everything for freakin 130 dollars. thats rediculis!!!that's what junk yards are for, buying things for cheap that you dont want to get at a stealer ship. I wanna slap'em in the face. So the best of luck to ya, hopefully they dont try to sell you the whole rear end for the one spoiler that you need.
As far as the double sided tape goes, i'm surprised it holds that well. Even through car washes!!?? I wonder if jb weld would be a safer bet. I'm gonna order one off of ebay here some time soon and get working on this project cuz they look freak'in sweet!:)

What do you think your door moldings are held on with? Exterior automotive grade 3M tape will hold it solid as a rock.

True. My wife had vent visors held on for 10 years with that stuff. Through car washes, accidents, etc. Good stuff.

Will the Pre-98 trunk fit onto a 2000 CSVT without any modification?

The trunk bolts right up but you may have to get the pre-98 tails also for the best fit.

That's not a lip spoiler. That's a 98+ carbon fiber trunk lid, with the spoiler built in. IIRC, only a bare handful were ever made...as in maybe 6 or so.
